Abstract

In order to solve the interface problems between computer-aided design and production management software, a framework of unified BOM-based data exchange between TRIBON and SPAR is proposed. A unified BOM-based model database is set up. The consultation mechanism and the corresponding algorithm strategy is mentioned. The shared database of design and management information are realized by unified model database. Finally, data extraction module and Data input module were implemented upon this framework, and was validated in a shipbuilding company.
