Abstract :
Nowadays, H.264/AVC is an effective standard for video coding. However, with the growing demand for higher compression ratio of moving pictures in various applications, it´s quite desirable for new methods which adapt to high definition videos in the flexible environments. In order to improve the efficiency of the intra prediction for videos, especially for the high definition ones, we propose a new algorithm to establish intra prediction, which processes pixels based on line with adaptively detecting the texture changes. Experimental results demonstrate that, compared with H.264/AVC intra method, the proposed algorithm has achieved much better prediction, and reduced the complexity in the meantime.
