Abstract :
The integrated circuit, which has progressed from a 20 transistor per chip complexity to a 500,000 transistor per chip complexity in slightly over 20 years, is the key to future designs. Today we are entering the age of system scale integration. The author will discuss the impact of this level of integration, and show (in his presentation) several of the more significant devices recently introduced into the military design community.
