Abstract :
With the aid of the soil side friction, friction piles may with-stand the top vertical load of pile. Construction excavation caused the deformation of the surrounding soil, which reduces the bearing capacity of adjacent piles and causes the horizontal displacement of the pile and the formation of many engineering risks. With actual project examples in excavation, a finite element model is made, the pile´ relationship between different horizontal displacement and excavation depth under different vertical load is obtained. Analysis of friction piles load-displacement curve around the excavation, the ultimate bearing capacity of single pile is determined, the modified formula of ultimate bearing capacity of the pile is given, which can improve safety margin coefficient of the pile for engineering designers.
