Abstract :
Presents a motion detection method based on a temporal multiscale transform, able to determine the different dynamic components. The authors consider a sequence of images as a set of monodimensional temporal signals, decomposed on a suitable orthogonal basis of wavelets. In order to detect changes at various frequency levels, the authors introduce a local spatial interaction, by applying a likelihood test within small windows. Then the authors combine these change binary maps corresponding to the decomposition levels into a decision process to separate the moving objects from parasitical motion and noise. Experimental results on real scenes are presented
