Abstract :
Nowadays with the widespread Internet use, remote user authentication has became important process to provide security of the system resources. The process determines the identity of a person who attempted to access system. Various cryptographic algorithms are used in previously developed remote user authentication schemes using smart card to provide better security. In this work, we have eliminated the some security flaws in Liaw-Lin-Wu scheme. Also we have applied elliptic curve Diffie Hellman key exchange protocol (ECDH) into Liaw-Lin-Wu scheme to enhance its´ security features and to improve its´ efficiency.
