Design on Google Earth-based Platform for the public participate in urban planning

In China, the construction of the urban is rapidly developing, however the seriousness of it has been suspected by the public, which are manifested in two aspects , one is the urban planning is appeared to be freely modified in short time; the other is the houses of the public are forced to remove. The main reason is due to the lack of public participation and supervision in urban planning. This paper using Google Earth Platform to create a convenient platform for public participates in urban planning. The platform is easier to use than traditional ones, and easier to be accepted by the public who are lack of knowledge on urban planning. It is helpful for them to participate and supervise the urban planning.
