Abstract :
This work presents a simple and low cost RF ID system. The principle of operation depends on an electronic circuit programmed to hold a person´s name and ID number. It can communicate with any PC or laptop using Bluetooth wireless channel within certain coverage area ranged from 10m indoor to about 30 m outdoor. The information received at a given location inside a campus is processed where time stamp and location identification are added. Data stored at each location may be accessed from anywhere inside the campus through LAN connection. A master PC in a central office may be assigned to receive the available data from terminal locations through LAN and store them in a registration file for collective reporting. The system had been completely designed, built and tested. Experimental work completely confirms the expected system functionality.
