  • Abstract
This paper proposes a new technique that reduces the harmonic concentration and acoustic noises in inverter-fed induction machines based on the selective harmonic elimination PWM technique. By selecting different harmonics to be eliminated in each cycle, both low switching frequency operation and low harmonic concentration can be achieved. These features make it a suitable choice especially for high power AC motor drives when low switching frequency is a dominant demand
