Abstract
The process of printing and scanning is one of the most difficult problems not to be solved in the field of image authentication, because of lack knowledge of their nature. This paper proposes a practical method to survive the print-and-scan attack. This method is based on a digital signature composed of robust salient points extracted from digital still images. Experiments with real printer and scanner verify the performance of the proposed method in this paper. Compared with existing methods, the robustness of this method to various attacks is also verified.
