Collaborative MPEG-4 Contents Authoring, Presentation and Interaction in a Mobile Environment

Recent advances in wireless technology and availability of portable devices with networking capabilities made the increasing hot topic, ubiquitous computing become reality. Also, it made the mobile handheld device come with a rich set of capabilities for authoring and presenting multimedia information. It is expected that the mobile equipment will soon be one of the most widespread devices for consuming multimedia contents. In this paper, we designed and implemented a multimedia system that supports collaborative authoring for both individual and multiple environments. We also discussed the presentation and the controlling technique for the interaction in the collaborating multimedia.
