Abstract :
This paper introduces a simple design algorithm for MSDRAs. The algorithm avoids prior time consuming trial and error processes for achievement of the optimum MSDRA parameters and gives an antenna with the best possible impedance bandwidth in the desired feedline-MSDRA coupling. To show the efficiency of the algorithm, two examples are examined in X-band. The examples are simulated using two numerical methods. Then, adjusting the position of the MSDRA with respect to the open end of the microstrip line is proposed to maximize the feedline-MSDRA coupling.
