Abstract
A modified blind equalization algorithm based on the kurtosis of the output signal is proposed to enhance the performance of the conventional CMA (constant modulus algorithm) blind equalization. In the modified algorithm, the step-size sequence is adjusted by the kurtosis of the output signal. Simulation results show that the new algorithm can provide fast convergence at early stages of iteration while ensuring small final misadjustment.
