Abstract
When a nonlinear system is subject to a disturbance that makes large amplitude, abrupt changes, control system design often becomes quite difficult. This paper discusses some control algorithms for systems of this type that are straightforward to evaluate and simple to implement. Where applicable, such controls provide a useful alternative to the more sophisticated, "dual" controllers.
