Abstract
An object oriented resource allocation/pricing system (FRAPS) is proposed to manage the resources of a flexible manufacturing system. A description of FRAPS and a data structure outline for a flexible manufacturing system are presented. Object oriented features of the design approach are highlighted using entity relationship diagrams. Furthermore, a mapping of the data structure of the flexible manufacturing system to the database schema of the FRAPS is performed
