Abstract :
A simple and cost effective method for performance evaluation of open systems is proposed using the single-profile method which exploits advantages of fundamental performance evaluation technologies, the measurement technology and analytic technology based on queueing network models. Two performance evaluation tools, TinyTOPAZ and QM-Open, which are developed according to the concept of the proposed methodology, are described. The experimental results based on a standard benchmark program are also reported to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method and of the two tools
