Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of shock rejection in a disk file control system. By adding a disturbance observer to a conventional internal model based repetitive controller, tracking performance is maintained in the presence of short term nonrepetitive disturbances such as shocks which would otherwise cause large tracking errors. A description of this augmented repetitive control scheme and some simulation results are presented
