Abstract
An important feature of the difference between wireless sensor networks and traditional wireless networks is that energy of sensor node is limited. Therefore, how to design energy efficient sensor network system has been the focus of the study in related fields. Now there are many self-organization protocols in wireless sensor networks, but most only take the initial energy consumption into account and neglect of the maintenance phase of the corresponding topology consumption. Therefore, we take the two stages into consideration on omnet simulation and real testbed. we research and realize different types of self-organization protocols and compare their performances to find the principle between energy consumption and self-organization algorithm to guide the design and choice.
