Abstract :
Low power data converters operating in the 2.5-10 MHz sampling frequency range are necessary for portable video equipment and wireless communication devices. State of the art converters are able to achieve 12 bits of resolution with about 1.4 mW s/Msample. This paper proposes a new architecture capable of achieving 12 bits with sampling frequency 5 M at 1.8 V. The expected power estimation is only 4 mW. Therefore, the above merit figure should go down to 0.8 mW s/Msample
