Abstract
Biochemical processes are often modeled as reaction-diffusion systems represented by partial differential equations. However, cells have notable features such as complex structures and high densities of macromolecules, including molecular machines, which are omitted in classical modeling. We have therefore introduced coarse-grained models for processes involving the molecular machines to demonstrate how these features may affect the behavior of biological systems.
