Abstract :
The paper presents an analysis of the dropout probability and of the unnecessary handoff performance, for several handoff schemes, by using a simulation model which incorporates detailed representations of mobility, traffic and propagation environments. The performances under various mobility conditions are presented both for the conventional hexagonal cell lay-out and for the Bucharest city environment
