Abstract
This paper presents a method for the construction of time-invariant regulators which assure the minimum-time regulation in deadbeat mode of multivariable linear discrete systems. Only the discrete description of open-loop state equation being irreducible is assumed. The method obtains the solution in its most general form and can be easily converted into an algorithm for computer programming. The transient responses can be shaped by choosing different sets of feedback gains or by changing chains of generalized eigenvectors. Two examples are worked out to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.
