Abstract
Body surface potentials and Laplacians were simulated with three-dimensional heart and torso models. The maps of potential and Laplacian were compared for the normal heart model during the QRS period while referring to the intracardiac events in the heart model. It was found that the Laplacian maps reflected multiple undergoing wavefronts, while the potential maps reflected synthetic effects. If was also found that ventricular breakthrough was recognized with Laplacian maps but was not recognized with potential maps
