Abstract
In many signal processing tasks one is frequently faced with situations where a large system of linear equations with a toeplitz matrix, i.e. of the Yule-Walker equations form, needs to be solved. One of the most efficient methods of solving these equations is the Durbin´s recursive procedure. This paper presents a pipeline architecture, with feedback, for implementing the Durbin´s recursive algorithm in a more computationaly efficient manner. A speed-up time analysis is also provided which shows that the proposed pipeline implementation is four times faster than the conventional sequential implementation.
