  • Abstract
The University of Alberta Hospital has undergone dramatic organizational change recently. Moving toward a decentralized organizational structure with a greater focus on patients, patient care processes, and frontline decision making. Clinical Engineering redesigned its budgeting process, moving from a centralized budget to a partial fee-for-service model in compliance with the organizational restructuring. The partial fee-for-service model and the authors´ implementation experience are presented
