Abstract :
New results are given for the design of the tracking portions of time-varying discrete-time tracking systems. The feedback regulator part of the system is driven by the tracking error with gains that make it an observer (or in the full-order case, a Kalman filter) of a reference input signal model. Application of these methods is illustrated with a design example.
