Abstract
The aim of this work was to determine the intra- and inter-individual variations of several acoustical parameters such as attenuation coefficient slope, backscatter coefficient and effective density of scatterers. These parameters and their trend versus depth were estimated in vitro, with a 35 MHz focused transducer, on fresh abdominal human dermis. The influence of the epidermis on the dermis backscatter coefficient was also investigated and discussed
