Abstract
A new class of protocols of multiple access is introduced that are well suited for integrated voice/data operation in radio communication networks. A Markovian state model is described and analyzed in detail. The numerical aspects of the analysis introduce interesting computational questions that are also examined. Performance results are presented, and optimization problems for the automatic management of the network´s resources are discussed
