Abstract :
In recent years, with the fast development of tablet computers, much research has been done to investigate the effectiveness of mobile learning in which "e-pads" were employed as the main supporting tools. However, while taking such mobile devices as facilitating tools for improving learning, specific learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies are essential. This study intends to use tablet computers to enhance students\´ local culture recognition. Instead of reading information from or typing notes on the tablets, the students will be asked to "sketch out" what they have seen and learned from within the specific cultural context. These "sketch notes" will be presented and discussed in the regular classroom afterwards. Through express depicting of imagery, we could change the traditional use of the digital iPad sketch note with the local cultural flavor. The sketch note better reflected the changes in the mood and environment through the timely record of the ubiquitous cloud interactive learning effect. Improvement of mobile learning in the local culture, combined with APP download provided a wide range of graphics software and the use of drawing software features have increased the ability of students to understand their local culture. Through the iPad sketch note we could see an improvement in the teaching designs of the local culture. Most of the students have shown a positive attitude towards learning more through the use of the ubiquitous mobile iPad sketch note autonomy.
