Abstract :
In nuclear power plants, accelerated aging of certain components can lead to reduction of their service life, which has potential impact on the safety and economics of the whole plant. In order to effectively manage the accelerated aging of critical components in nuclear power plants, an accelerated aging analysis method of fitting aging model with local collected data was presented. This method can be used to estimate the service life of components under various accelerated aging conditions, and calculate accelerating factors for each condition, providing decision-making support for life cycle management of nuclear power plants. Accounting for the fact that components in a nuclear power plant always have very high reliability and very long life, local performance degradation data will be used in this method when enough failure data is not available. Finally, this method was verified by analyzing failure data of fire detectors and degradation data of rubber products collected from Daya Bay nuclear power plant respectively.
