Abstract :
The authors consider an infinite-dimensional system whose evolution is described by a difference equation and introduce the idea of a moving-horizon controller to stabilize this system. It is shown that, under conditions similar to the ones needed in proving the existence of infinite-horizon linear quadratic regulators, the moving-horizon controller will also be stabilizing
