Abstract :
In this paper, a system used super capacitor group to recycle the regenerative energy of the heavy gantry portal cranes is briefly introduced, which could save and reuse the energy generated during the download movements of the cargoes and the braking of the trolley, and be more friendly to the environment than the usual portal cranes. What´s more the design method of super capacitor group is mainly presented. This method simplifies the calculations, and is easier to define the numbers of the parallel/serial capacitors compared to the usual try and error method.
