Abstract :
A logic-based approach to the support of negotiation is presented and it is illustrated with an intuitive example written in Negoplan. This is a system which allows an agent to represent the problem with two levels of rules, and to investigate the consequences of that position and the anticipated position of the other side. An extension of Negoplan models the environment with its characteristic numerical and symbolic parameters. A case study from the domain of portfolio management illustrates the expressiveness of extended Negoplan
