  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a quality index to evaluate the supply voltage deterioration in terms of the instantaneous flicker sensation and waveform distortions. Both effects are obtained by time domain calculations, thus enabling the method to be implemented as an on-line digital processing algorithm. Specific validation results are presented, using signals with known flicker and harmonic contents and the general performance is tested using an arc-furnace simulator
