Abstract :
An optimal design method of DC voltage closed loop control for an active power filter is presented in this paper. Based on the analysis of instantaneous power characteristics for harmonic and reactive currents as well as the ITAE criterion, a small signal optimization model with stability constraints is established. The optimal design results of PI parameters by employing a discrete optimal algorithm are verified through computer simulation, and the results show that the optimal design approach results in a noticeable improvement in the transient performance of the filter system
