Abstract :
This paper compares the performance of various multicarrier modulation (MCM) techniques with emphasis on the proposed wavelet-based multi-carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) systems. With the all advantages of conventional MC-CDMA, wavelet-based MC-CDMA systems provide not only higher bandwidth efficiency than the conventional MC-CDMA systems, but new dimensions for anti-fading and interference immunity by a suitable choice of wavelet functions and wavelet frequency bands. From the results, wavelet-based MC-CDMA may be feasible for applications such as FPLMTS/IMT-2000 and mobile multimedia
