Abstract :
Bioartificial liver support system based on culturing hepatocytes becomes an important research field in the treatment of acute liver failure currently. It is necessary to monitor the state of liver cell functions during the treatment of bioartificial liver support in order to guide clinical treatment. We designed a microchip-based online process monitoring system for the implementation of monitoring the activity of liver cell functions in bioreactor. The microchip was optimized by simulation analysis of fluid dynamics software. The results illustrate the effect of improvement of mixing efficiency and shortened detection time.
