Abstract :
A new class of oscillators, termed evacuated miniature SAW oscillators (EMSO), has been designed to meet emerging requirements of signal generation. The methodologies used to design and manufacture these devices are a synergy of SAW with evacuated ovenized oscillator technology previously developed for BAW oscillators. Warm-up, power dissipation, and size are greatly improved as compared to conventional ovenized SAW oscillators
