Abstract :
Non-planar filters such as waveguide filters and dielectric resonator filters are widely employed in space payl-oads and ground base stations. These advanced filters and multiplexers offer very high unloaded Q-factor and sharp frequency selectivity to meet the increasingly demands on power-handling and frequency spectrum allocation requirements. In this talk, several recent works on the direct filter synthesis theory of microwave diplexer/multiplexer and the related practical full-wave electromagnetic (EM) design techniques are presented. With a large number of demonstrating examples, the presentation will show that these research works may greatly help the productivity of the microwave industry and inspire more efforts on the related researches.
