Abstract :
A novel duobinary RF receiver is proposed and demonstrated based on RF envelope detection for millimeter-wave radio-over-fiber systems. Robust RF downconvertion and duobinary decoding are achieved simultaneously at an RF envelope detector. Duobinary signal delivery over wired and wireless link in coherent single-sideband optical millimeter-wave systems is demonstrated for the first time.
