Abstract :
Combination of instrumental and artificial methods can identify fire flames and fire evolution on site. With reference of known dimensions on site, analyze flames and fire evolution in two fire tests at some subway station platform. Burning process of wood crib in these two tests follows 4 phases: initial phase, transitional phase, fierce phase and later phase. At a fairly close resemblance, flame shapes common geometrical contours. Input data of flame dimensions to reconstruct flame in Matlab, and calculate flame area at each time, then fit area function on time variable for flame of the 2 fires, in servitude to guidelines for calculation of temperature and velocity in FDS etc.
