Abstract :
To study the effect of Butylbenzyl phthalate inducing DNA damages in Rat lung cells. KCl-SDS assay and comet assay were used to reveal the amount of DNA-protein crosslinks and effect of DNA damages induced by different doses of Butylbenzyl phathalate in vitro. The results showed that Butylbenzyl phathalate could cause DNA breakage at low level (10 μmol/L, P<;0.01), while at higher level (40 μmol/L, P<;0.01; 160 μmol/L, P<;0.01) it caused crosslinks obviously. In conclusion, higher levels BBP induced significant oxidative damage, and then caused damages to DNA.
