  • Abstract
In this paper, a new method is proposed for calculating the correlation coefficient for intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) by using the notion of mathematical statistics. The value of correlation coefficient lying in [-1, 1] computed from our proposed formula not only can indicate the strength of the relationship between IFSs, but also show that the intuitionistic fuzzy sets are positively or negatively correlated, which plays an important role in the fuzzy statistics and data analysis.
