Abstract
Worst-case design analysis is performed and its recommendations are adhered to achieve the boundary of product reliability and product functionality. In general, the tolerances of various parameters of components are key to worst-case design. However, the recommended parameters vary across the product lines as well as to products. This article suggests that functionality criteria of certain industrial products are aggravated due to reasons very different from the conventional ones.
