Abstract :
This paper describes the use of military phased array radar technology for environmental sensing and details the results of an at-sea demonstration of the Tactical Environmental Processor (TEP). The TEP system is a COTS-based signal processor that converts radar inphase and quadrature (I/Q) data into spectral moment data used by the meteorological community. The work detailed was performed under cooperative agreement between Lockheed Martin and The Office of Naval Research
