Abstract :
The adjustment between generation and load in all moments is a basic requirement in the process of operation of electrical systems. A current unbalance this equation can lead to unwanted deviations of voltage or loss of revenue. With this, system operators must anticipate the load values in order to prepare the necessary corrective actions to operate the system with security. One of the possible actions is the purchase of energy consumption. Before, the operators of CELG - Goias Power Distribution Co. employ some empirical capabilities to predict the load. This paper describes new software used by these operators to help in the load forecasting. The proposed methodology presented in this paper is based on fuzzy concepts. The paper shows some forecasting with real data from CELG power system.
