Abstract
This paper presents the new hybrid method for transient stability analysis in power systems. When a Park model is used in potential energy boundary surface (PEBS) method, the estimated accuracy of critical clearing time (CCT) could not be guaranteed satisfactorily. On the other hand, conventional Hybrid method cannot calculate CCT. Proposed method combines the PEBS methodpsilas ability to obtain CCT, and the excellent accuracy of the hybrid method. This method can calculate CCT with sufficiently improved accuracy that it can be used for a Park model. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated by running simulations using test system model.
