  • Abstract
    Presents an approach to define quality requirements in the context of software acquisition. Although it uses the concepts laid down by ISO/IEC 9126, this approach extends the current usage of this standard by proposing a way to derive software development process requirements, project monitoring requirements and product acceptance requirements. These requirements are traceable to quality objectives expressed in terms of quality characteristics and may include targets for measurements. The interest of the proposed approach is to provide a justification to many process requirements frequently used in acquirer/supplier relationships. One example of the definition of quality requirements for an industry project is presented
