Abstract :
There are many OSGi based Home Servers have been done. But, Most of these Home Servers are designed in Client/Server model. They all have a centralized server which manages all messages and events in the system. The client and server are tightly coupled. Maintenance and expansion could be very difficult. In this paper, we propose an event admin, which is provided by OSGi R4, based message exchange platform. In this platform, there is no centralized server. Each bundle represents a device, a service or a control panel. All bundles will communicate to each other via event admin within a structured event message. Every bundle in this platform is independently to each other.
