Abstract :
The present paper examines the effects of adjacent channel interference on the link level performance of a joint detection (JD)-CDMA mobile radio system. The adjacent channel interference is modeled as Gaussian noise that has the same spectral properties as signals of real links in adjacent channels. It is assumed that in adjacent channels either JD-CDMA or DCS1800 links are active. For both cases bit error rate curves are depicted versus the RF carrier spacing for a constant value of the carrier to co-channel interference ratio
